In the beginning of time, Pan Gu, the first God of the universe grew tired of his solitary existence and decomposed his body into five basic elements: earth, water, fire, metal and wood.
After this he used the power of these elements to create mountains, rivers, land, air and eventually life. Pan Gu created three races that possessed his most treasured traits.
